Another rainy morning and bad traffic. I didn't see any accident or any reason for traffic to be bad except for the light rain coming down. It was not to bad of a rain and no reason not to be doing at least 65 mph (the posted speed limit) but yet we were doing about 30 mph.
Are you one of those people that don't know how to drive when it rains? I'm sorry but those people really get me mad. If you can't drive in the rain maybe you should just stay home. Or at least not drive in rush hour and screw up traffic.
Last night on my way home was even worse, well at least at the last 5 miles of interstate that I take home. Thankfully I had my GPS on for some reason and it was showing traffic backed up ahead of me and I decided to bail off the interstate and take the frontage road. Traffic on the interstate was at a stand still all the way up till I headed off in the other direction. It normally is not like this at all so I knew something was up.
I got home and checked the internet to see what was going on. I found that there was an accident about another 10 miles up the road. The traffic was backed up at least 15 miles. There was a major accident that closed the interstate while they cleaned it up. It happened about 11 am but southbound lanes didn't reopen till about 8:30 pm and northbound lanes reopened about 4:30pm.
Sadly two people died in the crash and 5 others were taken to local hospitals with injuries. There were two semi trucks and a few cars involved in the accident.
