I can't open google chrome

My laptop had to update and so I let it. Now I can't open google chrome at all. I've tried several times and even turned my laptop off for a few minutes.
I'm hoping it fixes itself, but as of right now, I can't open google chrome.
I use google for two of my websites. I also have Vivladi, Opera (which I use here) and Edge. I guess I'll have to use Vivaldi or Edge for the time being.
Have you experienced any technical difficulties lately?

I had to stop using firefox as it was way too slow for me. I also had problems using firefox on mylot.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I can't get on Mylot with firefox. It will not take me there. That's why I started using Chrome.

I ended up reinstalling it, but it took a lot longer than I would have liked. I had some troubles trying to uninstall it.

@LadyDuck It was more my computer's fault than anything else. I had to wait a long period of time for everything to load.

@rakski I had just updated windows when ti happened. It might have been because of that. Of course, it could have been because of an extension that keeps becoming corrupt.

My laptop always takes longer to update than a family member's PC. My laptop is around 8 years old though.

@JustBhem Yes, I'd like to get a new one eventually, but I don't have the money to do so.It would take a lot of mylot payments to get a new laptop.

I am going to try to uninstall and reinstall it to see if that works. Chrome has been messing up for me lately.

My computer won't do updates at all. I tried running ckdisk and everything checked out. I might have to do the system recovery thing..but I don't want to if I can avoid it. I had one once that got messed up using that.

Yes, I was going to say that the system restore thing is a last resrot becuase it can mess your system up worse. What version of windows do you have?
