Brussels Sprouts and Kale Salad

Brussels Sprouts and Kale Salad was one of the side dishes on the menu at Cracker Barrel today. I had never noticed it on the menu before so it may be a new offering. Both my husband and I were curious about this dish because we had both never tried it. He ordered meat loaf and it came with 3 side dishes so I talked him into ordering the Brussels Sprouts and Kale Salad as number 3 side dish. He took a few bites of it and said he liked it and then passed the dish to me. I wasn't sure if he was just bluffing and it was really bad or if he was just passing it to me since he knew I was going to ask for a bite to "test" it. I found it to be okay and would eat it, but I think it would be a dish or salad that would have to grow on me. It also contained dried cranberries and chopped pecans. The whole salad was chopped into small pieces actually. I found that the kale or maybe it was the brussels sprouts were very very bitter and the sweetness of the dried cranberries didn't cover this up enough.
