Famous tortoises "break up" after 90 some years together

This is normally the type of thing I post around Valentine's Day, but when I saw this article I couldn't resist sharing it.
The article which I'll like to below features a story about to Galapagos Tortises named Bibi and Poldi who spent 90 something years together. Until, they didn't. The zookeepers separated the pair, fearing they would fight and seriously injure each other.
Attempts have been made to reconcile the two, but all attempts have failed and the 2 now live in separate enclosures.
I wonder what got to Bibi (the aggressor) after 90 odd years? Did Poldi chew with his mouth open? Hog the TV remote? lol.
Perhaps more likely - the article says that Galapagos Tortises aren't usually known to pair up for great lengths of time, so maybe it just took Bibi and Poldi longer to realize this fact.
On all accounts I think the tortises are oddly cute and I'm happy that they are healthy

@TiarasOceanView Good point. "He said, she said" In the end I don't even know if the parties involved know what happened
