Sunflower Bouquet

Simple, cheerful, and beautiful. That’s how I describe this bouquet. I still love the good old fashioned roses but I think I would pick this bouquet over a dozen roses any day. I’m contemplating of planting it in our backyard but I do not have a green thumb. How about you guys do you like sunflowers? Any favourite bouquet arrangements? Or any of you who think bouquets are not practical

I really am biased with sunflower too. Although my fave flower would probably be lotus. (But too pricey and rare in my locality.

We have a farm about 15 minutes north of where I live that grow sunflowers. It is always so beautiful to drive by that farm and see thousands of beautiful sunflowers when they are in bloom. I agree, sunflowers lighten up a room such much better than roses do!

@flapiz These were in France. I think you might see fields like this in Queensland but I think most of WA is too cool for them.

Yep they are a very cheerful flower. I did not arrange it myself. I bought it for my sister when she graduated.

Tulips are my favourite kind of flowers but it’s very rare and expensive. When I used to live in Perth I use to visit a tulip garden which blooms only every spring. Apparently they are hard to grow too.

@sophie09 Yep I used to live there for 4 years and it is most beautiful when it’s spring time. I miss the 4 seasons but Philippines is also beautiful in a tropical way.

I wanted to take the sunflower home but my baggage is bulky. My sister just took a photo with it and left it at the hotel.

My favorite flower! Very beautiful and cheerful. I don't think bouquets are practical because they die so quickly....but I still would love to get a bouquet someday :)

That’s true they are terribly pricey and does not last long. But it does make you feel pretty when you get one. I think potted plants would be a more practical gift.
