Is Dieting An Effective Way To Lose Weight And Keep Weight Off

I think you have to like the diet first of all. If you do something you do not like, most likely failure happens. For example, I am a carb lover. So, the Atkins and South Beach would fail. Yes, I even attempted the two. I have attempted most diets, except for the grapefruit and Keto. Personally, I do everything in moderation. I consume the food I like and do not binge or overeat. I am not giving you medical advice, just my 2 cents. How do you feel about dieting?

I don't like dieting. Your body can't burn more calories than it takes in, so I eat everything in moderation and exercise to keep my metabolism going. It works for me and I feel fit and healthy.

I really like the Whole30 and Paleo plans. It cuts out all that is unhealthy for you and leaves you with what is. I've done well with it. However, I've been on the proverbial plateau this year and trying to get off. So, now I'm adding HAM - Half As Much to the plan to see if I can lose this weight. I'm also as of this morning, keeping track of the calories. I found I like my carbs too. Potatoes are a must for me and I'm happy they're allowed.

Honestly for me personally, if I want to lose weight nothing else will do but exercise.

I tried several diets and weight-loss schemes over the years but nothing worked until this year when I joined Noom. I have lost 45 lbs since January and feel better than I have in a long time.

Some diets are so involved with everything spelt out for you. They are too complicated for me. I think everything in moderation is a good way to go.

Even though age is just a number I am up to the point that I am who I am and I just enjoy life but I no longer worry about dieting.
