They made a milestone years ago but never followed up on anything. I think they should have gone back many times since. But better late than never. We should also be developing technology to get us further out in space to explore other planets then just Mars. We should have had this technology over 100 years ago. But the government killed off all of Nikola Tesla's experiments. So sad. We would have had free energy now and a way greener way of life. But greed got in the way sadly enough.

however with nasa's last couple of decades,i'll believe it when i see it.
they'd probably be better off using space x at this point.

I remember watching the news coverage of Apollo 11 landing on the moon and dreaming of being an astronaut. I saw an interview with a NASA official the other day and he was saying we couldn't go back to the moon right now even if we wanted to because the technology and science that got us there the first time has been lost and the experts who know how have mostly passed on.

I would like to see them go back to the moon. I was only a year old when they landed on the moon back in 1969.

It's funny, I have a few mixed ideas about this. Could the money be better used on making things better here instead? I mean I realize we must prepare to spread into the cosmos, this planet will not sustain us much longer, but at the same time, we have people starving here in our own country, people who cannot obtain medical care, or who live on the streets because they cannot pay for housing. This does not even bring into the equation what is happening with the climate. I'm just not certain space travel is the best use of money right now.
