Music Review: Alannah Myles

Greetings MyLot,
It has been alittle while since I've posted about music or done a review, so I thought I would do both.
Alannah Myles is mostly known for her biggest hit song "Black Velvet" Which I have been a fan of for a long time. So, when I saw her self titled cd at a discount store, I thought this would be a great chance to check out more of her music. I was not disappointed.
Even though her other hits lack the popularity and radio play that "Black Velvet" got - there are some excellent tunes on this album from the longing behind the hard rocking "Just One Kiss", To the high energy of "Kickstart my Heart", and even a ballad in "Lover of Mine" - this album is well worth your time.

I think that was the only one to get serious radio play. The rest have the similar sound though :-)

I did listen, had never heard it but it sounds pretty ok. But I am 70 years old.

I was surprised at the amount of songs of hers I had never heard.... nothing wrong with 70

I remember "Black Velvet". The radio stations played it a lot at that time, and I like it. I don't know any of her other songs, but I would like to listen to them.
