Here's my story. Christmas 2018 my son and his girlfriend bought us (my husband and me) a TV set. It's one of those flatscreen Amazon Fire TV sets. What happened was … when we had cable TV we could watch the news channels regularly. But we have not had cable TV for years and so my husband would try to go to YouTube to see if he could watch an online news stream NOW! Ever tried to search for a current online news stream on YouTube? It's a nightmare! My son set the TV up and handed my husband the remote control. My husband fell asleep and I got my hands on the remote control. LOL. I kept clicking buttons looking for Free Stuff! I landed on something called Pluto.tv. It was FREE!! And guess what? We can get news channels and the Bloomberg business channel! When my husband woke up, I was so proud of myself. I just had to to show him that I had found treasure! We are happy happy happy! Do you PLUTO?

About seven years ago my wife and I began volunteering for the state parks, first in California then in Oregon. We have an RV and in turn for our volunteering we got free space rent and utilities, (well not propane) Most of the places we ended up had near zero TV reception. But hey,we were in nature, we greeted the visitors, we kept tabs on what was going on. We had plenty to do. After a while we noticed, we no longer had much desire to watch. I still have that TV in the RV but it never gets turned on. We've since bought a house, guess what, no TV at all. Don't miss it and the time it frees up allows me to do things I truly enjoy.

We are not that crazy about our cable TV provider. We only use them because we live in apartments and they provide the Internet and cable service. We only use the Internet.

Not really news usually makes me too upset these days. But I have a Roku and watch a lot of series and movies and everything just like cable. Will never have expensive cable again.

I didn't know about Pluto but free is always good. We can read local news on our computers which is helpful.

That's great and for free. I don't think we have PLUTO here. I have not seen that when I was searching for a channel.
