Do you use glass bottles?

Do you use glass bottles to store water? We have tried a few times and it seems better than plastic bottles. Unfortunately they can break easily. I feel the taste and smell are more neutral in glass bottles, and they are easier to clean. What is your opinion?

I use glass bottles or steel bottles for storing water. Plastic bottles are a strict no.

@pitstop I am trying to make my kitchen plastic free or to minimal plastic. Have switched to steel boxes for storing with labels on them.

I still use glass bottles for keeping water.... I know they are fragile and breaks every now and then but I love keeping colourful glass bottles... Something about them amazes me...

The ones I have are clear ones. I too love those retro looking coloured bottles. I'll probably get some!

I do have some glass bottles. But I do use stainless steel bottles more, it is more easier to clean.

I would prefer to, that's for certain. Yet, glass is fragile, its heavy, (I do a lot of back packing) and can be tough to keep safe.

@pitstop I generally re-purpose plastic bottles. I know I risk some issues with what leaks out of the plastics but I can't justify throwing them out after a single use. Recycling in this area is a joke. The local company simply will not take most plastics, they won't even take corrugated cardboard.I've sent letters to the town council to push a change but got no response.

We don't store water. If we need to take water with us, we usually just take plastic bottles.

When we take water out we use stainless steel ones when possible. If not, we use plastic ones.

That's a very good observation. I always feel the water stays just like that in glass bottles.
