Tour of the US - memories - Statue of Liberty

It was a few years ago but memories keep flooding each time I open my digital photo folder.
We have our extended family in the US but preferred to go on a package tour and then visit family and friends.
The first day was spent in New York and while there was much to see sitting under the Statue of Liberty seems to have etched in my memory That ferry ride on the Hudson river to get there was filled with expectations as we neared the statue we could see it from a distance until we reached there

I lived in New Jersey when I was 12 and could see the Statue of Liberty out the window of one of my classrooms. Did you get to see many other sites?

Yes we did We spent just a night in New York. We left for Buffalo thereafter. I remember visiting some high rise buildings. I missed one trip due to jet lag

That whole activity including the ferry ride was memorable

Enjoy it while it is there, pretty sure Trump is going to have it removed one day. I never did get to see it. Was closed when we went. Construction or maybe my roommates lied to me and just did not want to get on a ferry that takes you there. Maybe that was it. Was 20 years ago and my memory not what it was.

Lovely photo. Here's something you don't see every day. In the movie Ghostbusters 2 they had the Statue of Liberty waling. Now imagine if that could really happen.

I have been there thrice and each time I felt the same excitement. And the icing on the cake each time was visit to Niagara Falls. That fall always mesmerized me.
