Where is the Canadian Embassy? Not in Western Australia, it seems

I’ve just posted about Canada Day and thought you might enjoy the following. We played host to two young back-packers recently. One was from Italy although she’d been living in France and the other from Quebec. They met on an island off Spain (the name escapes me at the moment) at a juggling/fire-eating/magic convention. Now, they are hoping to be married and thought they might do so in Western Australia.
We haven’t seen them for a while but Julia is in contact with Vince on Facebook. They went to the Canadian Embassy in Perth for some information but it seems there isn’t one. Our friends had an address but when they arrived there, a notice on the gate informed them that it wasn’t the Canadian Embassy and gave a number to ring. It seems now they might wait till they get to Canada before getting married. I found it funny that there seems to be an urban myth about an embassy.
The photo is one of my favourites of a country landscape.

Oh wow, that's a great picture. How nice of you to host those two. Amazing how they met, too

@FayeHazel We wondered the same thing but it seems maybe they just chose the wrong course - but what a lot of wasted effort.

@JudyEv Oh wow. Neuropsych , I wonder why they decided to go travel right now with so little left to get their degree. Oh well, I hope they enjoy their travels.
The light really brings out all the hills and valleys

Funniest thing I have heard in a while 'It is not the Embassy" There sure there is a story attached to this.
Hope their plans to marry fructify despite this hassle.

I wonder how many other people show up at that address looking for an embassy.

I'd say quite a few or there wouldn't be a notice to the contrary. I guess they got the address off the internet somewhere.
