Thrift Store Find

I forgot to mention this yesterday but I found a lamp to match a picture frame my Mom’s friend Marlo gave me for my birthday about a year or so before she passed away I actually found a little lamp to match said picture!
It was a really good deal and something I had been looking for, for over nine years so I grabbed it up!

I’m working on downsizing too, we started going through clothes and toys the nieces and nephews outgrew I let Little Miss keep a few to give to Paisley when she’s older but a lot are being donated! Next will be tackling the clothes, all of them lol!

I adore thrift shopping, there is a thrift store in walking distance from me and it takes all my will not to go there all the time haha

Lol I don’t blame you, we have one that’s about a mile and a half away but I don’t walk there because walking on the main road can get dangerous!

@Michellekidwell Mine is pretty easy to get through from the neighborhood which is nice. I really need to go there more when it cools off haha

Lol I went for a blanket to put over the hotel bed because I know the quality of the stuff they sale, there blankets still have the tags but ended up finding the lamp It matched the frame with my favorite Picture of Little Miss, the frame was a gift from a friend who passed away!

I do, but I've noticed the stores in my area have upped their prices to the degree that I wont buy much. Some of the stuff is more expensive than new. Blows my mind. I know the money goes to a good cause but really? I saw a package of candles, had a store's original price sticker still on it for 1.98, they wanted 3.50 for it. I won't go to Goodwill anymore because of stuff like this.

I deal with mainly local thrift stores, my favorite is Good Stuff, the money they make goes to help adults with developmental disabilities!

@Michellekidwell Excellent cause. We now go to the Habitat for humanity for most of our building needs, or at least we hit them first. Sometimes they have excellent things that can be reused. The only thrift that is worth going to here is one that supports the local animal shelter where they try to adopt out every animal that comes in.

We don't have thrift store here. What we have is a bargain sale promo, 30 to 50% discount sale to selected items. But in fact, there's no discount.
