People ask me why I don’t pray. Praying is a choice if you want to or not weather you believe in a faith or not.
I choice not to pray because I feel I have no need to for anyone that is a higher power to know how or what I feel. I also feel if I want something done I have to do it myself. Asking or praying for someone to guid me, help me or whatever just doesn’t cut it for me. I don’t tell others not to because they can.
Instead of praying I send good vibes or best wishes, even good luck.

When people says pray for it I tell them I don’t pray. So then for some reason they think to ask me why. I tell because I choice not to. So some times after that they feel the need to educate me on why I should. I kind of ignore it because it’s none of there business when I choice not.

I am the exact same way. I always thought it was silly for someone to ask for prayers if they are a little sick or pray for them for some silly situation that is so trivial. Like...Honey, there are children starving, dying of cancer, and you want me to pray for you to get over your cold? I wish you well and hope you get over your cold, but if there is a god out there, I sure as heck hope they are paying attention to the children or other victims out there before a cough. Even when a matter is more serious, I don't send "thoughts and prayers" it just irks me when people say. Thoughts and prayers don't change the problem, action changes the people. The prayer is only for an ease of mind and clearing it for guidance, but you got to put in the work to make the change. I don't judge people who do pray but those who only rely on prayer, hmm just hmm.

Yes that is what it is for me. Some times when I get stuck in this mom funk I’ll pray or write to myself even just vent to clean my mind. Once I get it all out the answer I need or looking for seem to come not that praying would even really give me an answer. I’ve been broke and poor and the only out of that was working asking real people for help tat could better advise me on what I could do next over time with hard work my family became less poor less broke, less struggles.
I always tell my kids you can do anything with hard work. Nothing it yourself can stop yourself.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.I do pray but I don't go to church regularly but I pray still alone wherever I am through my mind and from my heart that speaks to thank God or to talk to him that is my way of doing that.

Prayer may take various forms. All prayers are for everyone's good. The only different with other sayings or wishing for blessings is the pattern. Prayer is addressed to Heavenly Farther and it's closed in Jesus's name with amen to end it. So whether you pray or not you are doing that in different way.
