Off to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas

It was a helicopter ride followed by a short bus stint. I knew what to expect as I had seen a few images of this marvel on the Net. Our camera did not do justice to what was visible to the eye
The helicopter ride was turbulent and with the Colorado River flowing beneath I just waited for the flight to end.
On our return the pilot gave us a better view of the Colorado river and the Grand Canyon.. Stunning would be an under statement watching it all from the sky.

I have even taken a few while on the plane and nothing nuch could be covered. Now I have that panorama feature. May be that would have helped if I had it then.

The grand canyon certainly is breathtaking. We stayed a night on the south rim and then drove up to Las Vegas.

We were there only for a few hours and got back to Las Vegas to catch our flight the next day to Los Angeles

I have been in and out of planes, This was my first helicopter ride. It was turbulent.

Beautiful! I have been to Vegas and the Grand Canyon once, a looooong time ago. They are really sights to behold, I hope you have a great time :)
