Happy 4th of July to everyone

I hope that all of you are enjoying your day. Do you have special plans for today? I am staying home. My son, DIL and granddaughter went camping for the weekend so I am going over to their place to feed fish and water things. They want me to come up Saturday but I don't like driving a lot on holiday weekends. It is bad enough here in town. Why does holidays make some people drive crazy? I hope the weather is nice for everyone so the ones that are doing things outside can enjoy it more. What is your weather like? It is pretty hot outside right now so I am staying inside as much as I can. I wish you all a blessed and fun day.

No, I will go over and take care of my son's flowers, trees and fish plus do a few things that I need to do. Other than that I am staying home. I keep forgetting that you are a day ahead of me.

no ma'am, no plans outside 'f makin' sure there'd be no fires 'round here this long weekend. no doubt some idiot'll be shootin' off fireworks 'n i'd rather be prepared than not. 't least's prepared's i can be. don't blame ya not wishin' to fight traffic to join the family. many folks drive crazy 365 days a year. they're jest concentrated durin' the holidays. hot 'n breezy here (winds sustained 'bout 25mph, gustin' to 40), so'd be prime fer fire. 't least'n my lil sanctuary 'tis cooler.

It is dry here as the apartment complex has not had the sprinklers going for over a week. I already called in a fire last Sunday from a firework. Be sfe and I hope nothing happens there. They are shooting them off all around me.

@crazyhorseladycx Ilistened to fireworks until almost two this morning. People are so disrespectful. I am sure they will be doing it again all weekend. I sure hope that if they do shoot them off around your place that tjey don't land on any roofs on your place. I feel sorry for your horses. They shouldn't have to go through that. I know a lot of dogs that are scared by them too. You be safe also.

@velvet53 i jest dunno what'd be wrong with folks mentally to do such? they claim they've the right... if'n i set my stereo system out'n the porch (with 4 giant quad speakers) 'n played led zepplin full blast durin' the night, they'd call the sheriff. i feel fer 'em, too. that helplessness to quell their fears 'nfuriates me. lots 'f pups go missin' 's they jump fences, etc. tryin' to get 'way from the noise.

It is hot enough for me here in Minnesota- about 80 and humid. Sunny and then raining. Can’t make up its mind! Have a safe holiday.

The only thing I did was go over to my son's and feed the fish and water plants and trees. Did you watch any fireworks? I got to see some from my living room window.

@scottishbarbie That is great. I would rather stay home and watch them then go out and chance having a wreck or something, Some people are crazy drivers when it comes to holidays.

I had a good 4th. I was able to see a lot of fireworks just sitting here in front of my living room window. They are going off all around me and I have already seen a fire truck. Isn't our weather wonderful. We don't know what to expect from one day to the next.
