My poor iPhone 8 was stick in a puddle of water for several minutes while I had to take my daughter up to her school to catch the bus to summer school. I had to carry her over a huge puddle outside the front of our house. I couldn’t double back to get my phone right away so I had to wait till I came back down the hill and saw. I’m fighting to no cry because my phone has nearly everything on it I can replace it but it will coast me $300 for a new phone. I hoping that me taking my SIM card, took off my cover, wiped down my phone put in a dry bag of rice I’m hope these steps save my poor phone. I also tuned it off as instructed from my quick search online.

i also heard that you bury your phone in a sack of rice so as to dry it up and make it work again. no idea if this works but you have nothing to.lose if you try

Isn't iPhone 8 waterproof? It's the only iPhone model that I have never tried because it was a special release along with iPhone X I think. I have had several iPhones as I change mine every single year. Before I switched to iPhone X, I had an I phone 7plus which was waterproof. iPhone 8 was a special release which was distributed in the market along with iPhone X so I got the iPhone X instead. When I had my iPhone 7plus it was drenched in the rain while I was soaking in the hot spring. It was drenched for hours and nothing happened to it. I'm assuming iPhone 8 is the same and there's no need to worry.
