I am near-sighted. Although I know there is a surgery that claims to give you perfect eyesight. Actually some people have it and the surgery go successfully. However, I don't consier it anyway. As I still think it is risky. Nothing can be safer than wearing optical glasses. It is just not so convenient and that's it.

I knew someone who had to wear thick glasses because of her poor eyesight. She had surgery and she is fine. As for anyone, I donĀ“t think that it is worth it.

@Starkinds It is like plastic surgery. It depends on the damage

I knew it, too. But I still think it is risky. You can see most optical doctors are still wearing glasses

I don't think I would have surgery but many swear by it. I would be too worried about something going wrong.

I think so, too. Especially I am afraid there will be something wrong when I grow old.

I am quite comfortable with the glasses as I am wearing it for a long time. I still not ready for corrective surgery.

Although I don't really like wearing glasses, but I don't want to have a surgery for sure.

I agree. Maybe for some, surgery is the only way to get your eyesight bright and clear but for me I don't think surgery is way better than wearing eye glasses. Surgery may cause you into trouble if the operations went wrong and make your eyes suffer from different problems in terms of complications.

You are right. I am afraid of the side effects when I grow old.
