Should we cancel?

My husband and I have been thinking if we should cancel our trip to Ohio (family reunion places). My husband grandmother is in the ICU not sure if she is going to get better or not since they are going hour by hour with her. Over all there isn’t anything we can do other then just wait and see. If we cancel the sooner the better and even other family members are asking what are plans are if we are going or not.
This is our only family trip my only time off from babysitting this summer. After next week the only time off my husband had is the ones he is given because he can’t miss or call out for 6 weeks during his training. I guess it’s wait till we get to about Sunday or Monday and decide then.
Just so you know I’m not asking what we should or shouldn’t do just stating we have been thinking and talking about what to do.

The older adults will be talking tonight and making a decision based on today’s information. It’s not that tough at all. I would go that is my choice but this isn’t my grandparent and when your old your old and your going to die at some point so I don’t let health determine what we do or do not fix. Just got to live life. There isn’t anything we can do even if we cancel then just sitting here.

That is hard to decide I think I personally would cancel the trip though. Bad timing for this to happen. I hope his grandmother will be okay.

We are waiting till tonight the kids of my husbands grandparents will be talking about. Weather we stay or go there isn’t anything we can do since it’s all up to the doctors to go by what information they have.

@ShyBear88 You do raise a good point. If there's not much you can do, then maybe you should just go.

To me it’s not tough my husband doesn’t want to go because it’s his grandma. Me I would go regardless of who it is in the hospital. There isn’t anything we can do to help her get better. Her body had to do the work. So canceling to me would be pointless. But the older adults will talk to night.

It’s not tough at all. If I had my way we would be going period because we already booked a places and wouldn’t be getting all
Of our money back at all. Staying would help or change her getting better or not.
