The Homeless Situation In San Francisco

Is really bad, I saw homeless on every corner, in doorways, sleeping under bridges, the situation is honestly the worst I have seen! Price of rentals is crazy, a one bedroom can go for 4K a month, a room can rent for $1800 a month. Human trafficking is very real in the underbelly!
I had been to San Francisco before back in 09, and as a girl in the late 1980’s, but the city has changed and grown, its overgrown really! Buildings so close together there is virtually no privacy!
The hospital is good there though, and Paisley is being well cared for, the Campus that accompanies the various hospitals of the UCSF hospital campus!
I hope as Paisley gets older and grows stronger they are able to find a specialist nearer to home for her!

Yes we went down there for several days, the price of everything was crazy and the homeless situation was just sad!

@Michellekidwell It really is sad for homeless. We have it here too but if I was in their position, I would not try to be homeless in an area that is expensive. There are other alternative affordable places in California.

Yes, the weather in California draws the homeless. We saw quite a few when we were there.

@Michellekidwell I believe it. We were there during the day; but crossed over the bridge that night and stayed on the other side. Much cheaper.

But in San Francisco the cost of living is so high, that you really can’t make it there, I read somewhere that if you make $150 K a year your considered low income!

more and more cities are getting like that-the working poor are homeless.
doesn't have to be that way,but greed is out of control in this country.

And in San Francisco it is very prevalent, we have homeless here but not to that extent!

Wow, I am glad I don't live there....I wouldn't survive. Sorry to hear the problem is so bad, that is awful!
