Hello, friends in MyLot land. I am here and safe. Barry is still churning in the Gulf of Mexico and appears to be headed toward Morgan City, Louisiana for landfall sometime in the early hours of Saturday morning. We have had nice weather today and missed the band of heavy rain today. We did have a few slight sprinkles, but nothing drastic at all. The wind has picked up and we had a pleasant breeze with lower temperatures today. I have done a bit of picking up outside so things won't blow all over the place. Now, all we can do is wait it out. Prayers appreciated for all in the path of this storm or in the flood-prone areas. Photo: Pixaby

She's a bit harsh though when it comes to flooding, fires, hurricanes, and other acts of nature.

Rivers are going to be cresting at or above levels when it flooded in 2016 so not looking good.

Thank you. We have a night full of rain, possible tornadoes and again tomorrow. This should move out of LA tomorrow. And hopefully my portion of MS too.

The storm will pass during the early morning hours. The flooding is the big concern because it will rain through Monday or longer.
