1985 - The Live Aid benefit concert was held in London, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Moscow, Sydney and more for Ethiopian famine relief.
1940 - Patrick Stewart was born. He is an English actor, director and producer. He has acted on stage, television and film and has been nominated for an Olivier, Golden Globe, Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and Saturn Award. He is best known for his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the Star Trek movies and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men series.
1942 - Harrison Ford was born. He is an American actor and producer. He gained worldwide fame for his role as Han Solo in the Star Wars film series and Indiana Jones series. Some of Ford's other films: Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, Witness, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Apocalypse Now, Fugitive, Air Force One, Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
As of 2019, the worldwide gross of Ford's films tops $9.1 billion.
