So about the Rebooted Broly... _

So a few months back I wrote a diatribe about Broly(https://www.mylot.com/post/3208417/a-diatribe-about-broly-in-dragonball-super) Where I voiced my low expectations about a reimagined version of the Super Saiyan Broly... Well after seeing DragonBall Super:Broly in April, I can say that thankfully my worries were unfounded... Now I can understand that not all Broly fans are fond of this reimagined version because he's not the powerful sadistic madman that the original Broly was. But I like this version of Broly because of his added depth, which I owe Toriyama an apology for because I thought he'd remove Broly's sadism and just make him a screaming powerhouse. I mean Toriyama ruined Bardock by removed the Shakespearean elements from his conflict with Freeza, so I assumed the only thing Broly would have his is burly Super Saiyan form and power. And what didn't help this was how the trailers showed this Broly is far more powerful than the original. However, this reimagined Broly is largely a passive soul with a temper that rivals the fires of Hell. But frankly, he's a nice guy, which is weird for a saiyan, but exile on a foreign world will do that, I guess. While exiled Broly even made friends with an animal, which is where that green pelt from Broly's dad was a dick, and shot off this creature's ear, which drove it away, so Broly kept it as a reminder of their friendship... This quaint little backstory, and Broly only fighting when angered or commanded by his father had me hoping this incarnation of Broly wouldn't die in his fight against Goku and Vegeta. Am I hoping to see more of this Broly in the future, well no with no new updates on DragonBall Super... But unlike Sailor-Moon Crystal I'mma keep my ears open for any possible news...
