Once upon a time, well they are still there, but people don't go to hot springs as much now as they used to... French lick Indiana was the go to location for Al Capone and his gang. It is the birthplace of Larry Bird. The West Baden hotel (this picture is of the back lawn of the hotel) has been in a state of disrepair until recently. One of our go-to Indiana vacation spots!

The hick from French Lick! yes, there is a train museum and the highlight of the train ride is going by Larry Bird's boyhood home!

I didn't know Al Capone left Chicago. It must be a pretty place in summer.

Can people still use the hot springs? I don't know much about hot springs. Do you sit in them or something? :)

Rumor is that a hole in one of the hotel walls that has never been fixed (the hotel has been renovated 11 times since the 1930s) is actually a bullet hole when someone shot at Capone.
