Bohemian Rhapsody follows the career of lead singer Freddie Mercury from the formation of the band to Queen's 1985 Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium. This movie was released in 2018 and is rated PG-13. It was a major box office success with a $50-55 million dollar budget against box office receipts of an amazing $903.7 million. The movie won 4 Academy Awards, including one for Rami Malek for Best Actor. The opening scene shows the band Queen performing at the Live Aid concert in Wembley Stadium in 1985. Flashback to 1970. Farrokh Bulsara (Freddie Mercury played by Rami Malek) is working as a baggage handler at London's Heathrow Airport and living with his parents. Freddie attends a show at a club to see a band called Smiles. After the show Smiles' lead singer quits. Looking for the band, Freddie meets Mary Austin (Lucy Boynton). Freddie approaches band members Brian May (Gwilym Lee) and Roger Taylor (Ben Hardy) to complement them on their performance and to offer to be their lead singer. They don't want someone with his buck teeth (Freddie was born with four extra incisor teeth). Once he sings for Brian and Roger, however, they decide to have him join the band. Freddie joins Brian and Roger and new bassist John Deacon (Joseph Mazzello). A year later the band is getting steady work, Freddie has been dating Mary and they now call the band Queen. I didn't really expect to like this movie. I'm not a Queen fan except for their songs "Another One Bites the Dust", "We are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You". The movie, however, was great. It kept my interest all the way through and had musical interludes of some of their most famous music. I think that you will enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody. Photo Credit: Pixabay

I have watched this movie and like it ! Later I was too much into this movie and characters so, I continue watching documentary and few videos. The old videos of concert was really amazing. Some of their songs has been familiar with me without knowing the real singer ..

You are not a fan of their other songs? It was an amazing movie! And Rami Malek was perfect for the role.
