It never fail! It is flooded. Facebook is flooded with question: "is the class suspended?" When typhoon is within the area of responsibility expect the questions from parents, students and teachers. All are hoping, of course, the classes are suspended. This is the situational now in my province. Actually the decision of suspension of classes is on the hands of local chief executive upon the recommendation of the local disaster council. The school's classes might be suspended but not the work. So now, the busiest site on social network is Facebook. Whew facebook... helpful nowadays.

As a parent, if I feel I could not weather the weather, my children stays home with me. I don't wait for the suspension of classes. I let my children sleep the cozy hours. Bad weather is bed weather,

The right thing to do, its still the parents who decide to let/not let go for their own welfare... even when local government didn't suspend the classes

@ilocosboy Yes. You are correct. Besides, the worse thing that can happen is an absence in the attendance. I am for perfect attendance but when the safety of my children are concerned, I will not compromise.

I think Typhoon is nearer in your place so suspension of classes is imminent. Here in Manila though we're quite far from the storm, many City mayors already suspended classes as early as last night. Today, the rains seemed to have stopped just a few drizzles here and there.

@ilocosboy That is good to know that it is not as destructive as other typhoons are.

It is more beneficial now because farmers are waiting for this rain so they can transplant their rice seedlings.

We are thankful only the moderate to strong rain Falcon has brought and no strong winds. As of now we still have gloomy winds.

Yes that's true, while majority might have mobile phone but there are some who have no internet or even phone. The good thing is that these messages were also forwarded to mass media entities and read it on-air.

Well, that's my brother's problem now since their kids are still at school. But I hope they make the announcement sooner so children can relax at home.

Yeah, the officials should announce the announcements earlier so the parents, kids and teachers know what to do.
