Downsizing was my weekend goal

Hey everyone and Happy Wednesday to you! What’s going on in your world? I took this day off (normally i work Wednesdays) but thought...what the heck. It’s summer and I can find projects to keep me busy, so why not take the day off?
I did what I consider “massive downsizing” yesterday - went through most of my clothes. Got rid of some stuff I just don’t wear or like, and it resulted in about 14 shirts/blouses, 3 pairs of dress pants, 5 pairs of jeans, a few random household items. Today I have moved on to my book collection and so far have gotten rid of around 15 books that’s i was keeping, although I am not totally sure why.
Then I was able to drop off the men’s and women’s clothes I had stored up for the homeless shelter I frequent, and that was 7 garbage bags worth. I just feel lighter!
Something about getting rid of stuff makes me happy, even though shopping also makes me happy. Are you the same way? Do you do a large purge of your items frequently?

@maezee You're welcome! It's a great thing you did, it's what Jesus would do-that's always something to be proud of. =)

Clearing out occasionally is a good thing so you clear room for new stuff!

That's my problem, decluttering things to create more space at home.
