Back from the pool

I was there for about 2 hours. It was HOT. Accuweather says that it is currently 96 degrees with a RealFeel of 107. I stood in the pool (and occasionally kneeled) with a book and my water bottle and didn't lay out at all. I needed to keep dunking myself in the water.
Anyway, after 2 hours I had had enough and I came back up to the apartment. Now I am just waiting for the gelato base to finish chilling in the fridge. I'm going to make the chocolate "chips" in a few minutes.
What's everyone else up to today?

After being out in hot weather, you need to "chill" with the gelato.

This sounds so refreshing, cooling off in the pool! I think later on we might go to the lake, for about an hour to cool off.
I don't know what gelato is, do you mean for a dessert?

I messed up on the 4th Of July I stayed at the pool 4 6 hours didn't
