Here's a scenario for you all to think about.

Imagine you are wrongfully arrested and charged w/a crime, and later the charges are dismissed. However, your local paper wrote about your arrest, and every time someone Google's your name, the article pops up. I think this would be devastating, but in the age of tech, things like that happen. The question then becomes, how would you deal?

Well it is hard to control what people had in mind after seeing that article even if we knew it is just a mistake.For me,I will just ignore it.Because anyway,I knew what is the truth.

Good question. I guess it would mean my online life would be over since I am a writer and a poet and who would want to read what I have to say or give me any writing jobs.
