National Caviar Day - Have you ever had caviar? What did you think of it?
1976 - Nadia Comaneci becomes the first Olympian to score a perfect 10 in gymnastics at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
1913 - Red Skelton was born. He was an American actor, comedian and artist. He started in a medicine show when he was 10. He honed his comedic and pantomime skills there and in burlesque, vaudeville, films, nightclubs, circuses and casinos.
He was on national radio and TV shows from 1937-1971 and was the host of The Red Skelton Show (see below). He earned $2.5 annually from the sale of his clown artwork. He died in 1997.
1967 - Van Diesel was born. He is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Some of his famous films: Saving Private Ryan, Pitch Black, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Fast and the Furious franchise, XXX. In 2020 he will be in Fast and Furious 9, in 2021 Avatar 2 and 2023 Avatar 3.
