Window Seat or Aisle Seat? / myLot

I believe just every mylotter has many times traveled by plane. Honestly, I seldom travel by plane. I've been to Manado (North Sulawesi) and Padang (West Sumatera) by plane, each taking me at least two hours. The other flights I took were very short one or less than 40 minutes. I always make sure that I take an aisle seat. I don't like window seats. When you travel by air, which seat would you prefer, a window or an aisle seat? Image from pixabay

I like window seats more but I have to take the aisle seat and give the window seat for my kids

@yanzalong I find it is very hard choice. I like to sit by the window to look out at the view and I also like to sit by the aisle seat so can get to the bathroom easier. It is a toss up.

@yanzalong You have a very good point there. When you book your ticket can you tell them what seat you want?

Oh we could be seatmates since I like the window seats because I want to see the view from up there. It is fun to look at the small islands and the wide blue sea below from that height.

I don't like the middle seat so I usually try to get a window seat. I like sleeping on planes and it's easier to sleep by the window. I also try to get a seat that's not by the wing, 'cause I like taking pictures from the plane.

@yanzalong Yes, it seems like many want window seats. What I really prefer is the single seat on those small planes with 2 seats on one side and 1 on the other, but I'm not sure they're using them a lot anymore. Smallest I've been flying with recently is 2 + 2 seats.

I have traveled by air many times, always with my husband. If there are only two rows of seats it does not matter, on the aisle is either me or my husband, if more, I ask for aisle.

@yanzalong It's more for the convenience to get up if you need. When you have a 10 hours flight you need to go to the toilet time by time.

@yanzalong not really! it is fun to look at that view as long as no ocean view, i will close the window

Well the aisle seat is convenient if you go the the toilet a lot or if you want to get out of the plane quickly but I still prefer the window seat. Just because I get to peek outside the window and see the view.

My preference is for a window seat because I love to watch the taking off and landing plus looking down at the towns and cities we are flying over. My wife prefers an aisle seat so we are quite lucky in that respect as she hates to look out of the window! Most flights we take are long haul flights so a minimum of 10 hours at a time.

I like to travel on the aisle seat of the plane when I have to fly for hours especially in going to the Philippines. When it is a local flight for an hour, I like sitting at the window.
