This story could qualify for a curiosity factor that involved a 2.5 year old toddler named Kenneth Allen who decided to leave the home of his parents Kristopher and Lynn Allen since he was attracted by the sights and sound of the Chisago County Fair which was two blocks from his parents home on Thursday.
It amazes me that kids these days have battery powered John Deere toy tractors given to them by their parents. n my younger days, those kinds of toys were not powered by any batteries.
The good news of this story is that when Lynn called the local police to report her son was missing, Chisago County Sergeant Jason Foster was able to locate Kenneth one block away from his parents home riding his toy tractor on a sidewalk.
Kenneth was reunited to his parents safe and sound thanks to the good work Sergeant Foster did to locate their child who had his ability to drive his toy tractor suspended for one week after his dad took away the source of the toy tractor.
Kristopher insists he is not angry with his child, he is grounding him for one week since he does not want his son to go to places without any adult supervision.
Even though I am not a parent, the lesson to be learned is to watch your children closely since they are impressed by seeing fairs near their home.

A cute story with a happy ending. For a first offense, I would only have suspended his license for 15 minutes. But I would have given him a talking to about safety and warned him that a repeat offense could lead to much stiffer sentence.

That is a very good way to raise a child when he or she breaks house rules.

@Deepizzaguy Too much punishment creates resentment. And it also takes away a parent's "leverge." I do really short time outs. But they work.

@TheHorse Good point you have there since lectures serve a better purpose than taking away the toys from a child.

It is my pleasure to write happy endings on this site since we both come out winners.

It's good he was found safe and sound. At least he was riding on the pavement, not on the road.

It does beat the sad stories of kids vanishing.

This is a terrible incident for a daring to be left unattended in going to nearby fair. The parents would be sorry if their child would be gone missing or something horrible may happen to the kid.

Why was a 2.5 year old toddler unsupervised to the point of getting a block away? You have to watch a child that age every minute! Thank goodness all turned out well.
