For almost a month, I suffered discomfort with my left eye which I ignored for one week. The discomfort starts at ten or so in the evening. Quite bad because that’s time when I start working for my home based job. There’s this gritty feeling, blurred vision, and a halo when I stare the bulb. It was not comfortable working in such condition especially that my right eye is not in excellent condition also because of an injury several years back. Discomfort is worst during morning when I wake up but it would go back to normal when I’m done washing or shower. I bought over the counter eye drop but offer little help so I decided to visit my Oph for evaluation. I’m not fortunate because the doctor was on leave for two weeks. I tried to visit my other doctor who treated my ear thinking that the specialist is EENT but nowadays, eyes are no longer part of their specialization and they are now ENT Head and Neck Surgery specialist. I have no choice but to wait my Oph to go back. I did not bother to visit other specialist because in the first place, this doctor is the one handling all my eye problems from the start.
It was a relief when the check up was finally done because there’s nothing much serious to worry about. The doctor just prescribed me a lubricant eye drops because I’m just suffering a dry eye which I need to use for a longer period of time.
Do you visit other doctors of the same specialization if the ones that you usually consulted are not around?

I am using eyeglasses now, maybe because of my age.

Yes I observed them too. Maybe because of radiation from tv, mobile phone among others.

No, but now, when I always look into street lights or in lights of vehicles I always see like there's a rainbow around that light. I don't know if that's normal? but I asked my sister if she sees the rainbow arounf the light haha but she replied no. I don't know if this is normal or what but I haven't visited and eye specialist or what.

That was my first complaint several months back. I woke up some time seeing halo/rainbow around the light and my vision was blurry. I was told that my eye has high pressure so the doctor prescribed me eye drops for that. Lately, it was different and I was given an eye lubricant.

@ZedSmart High pressure to? I can only see the rainbow around in street lights, some lights in vehicles (but NOT ALL lights in vehicles) even now when I stare to the nearest light beside me there's no halo/rainbow but when I go out, I can see it in street lights then sometimes there's no rainbow around it. What I'm trying to say is sometimes I can't see it in lights nor there's a day when I can't see those rainbows. I don't know what is this but I really think that its started when I started to wore contact lens last year? At first when I removed my contacts my vision was like there's a fog then when I looked at the light I saw a rainbow around it, that's the time when I noticed it.

Not really, my parent doctor will always say where he was ans when he will come back, and we usually tect him or send messages on viber when he is out of the country just in case we need to ask something, or we notice some strange on our parents body.
I hope you are fine now, and I hope that you are having a great time seeing... The colors of life is so beautiful to see always.

I never had a permanent doctor due to the nature of my job and changes of health care provider.
I can tolerate other illnesses for few days, but not when it comes to my eyes. I always worry that if it gets worse, it will affect my job or worse, I can no longer work. So I always see a doctor whenever I notice something not normal.

I'm sorry to hear your condition Ms. Anna. So how was it? I also thought of having a serious problem then after it was seen by the doctor. I worried a bit because it would be very difficult for me especially that my right eye vision is not that good and I only rely my left eye to balance it.
