Walking by the Creek

I walked by the creek behind our complex yesterday. It was just before sundown and was cooler. I sometimes walk here rather than driving to a park. I should do it more often, it's a pleasant walk and not many people out usually.
I pass the swimming pool, barbecue pits and picnic tables. Often people are there cooking and eating but it was quiet yesterday. As I walk on to the creek, the scenery is beautiful and serene, tall green trees and the creek trickling over rocks. I hope you have a beautiful quiet place to walk and meditate.

@LovingMyBabies We go to different parks to walk and they are all special. Do you have special nature trails around you?

it's gorgeous, ms. ruby! i long fer such a place. alas, i've jest my lil sanctuary, which don't require much walkin' 'round to see. i do sit'n meditate out there though. 'tis been a staple'n my sanity fer quite some time. now if'n the hubs'd jest get the pond pump put back'n ('d to replace such), put my waterfall back together, myself 'n the critters'd be most content.

@RubyHawk used to've wide open spaces 'n large pastures/fields. no creeks, jest my lil sanctuary with a pond. 'd to sell most 'f the land, ms. ruby. when i fell ill 'twas quite the financial burden'n the hubs would'a ne'er managed tendin' 't all.
back'n the hills, i'd various creeks, natural pond 'n e'en a river. that 'twas many moons 'go, a previous lifetime.

@crazyhorseladycx When we've owned homes it was never more than a few acres. But we have lived out in the country and there are always lakes, rivers and woodland around us. I'm sorry you had to sell your land.I hope you don't miss it too much.

@chrissbergstrom I knew I'd read from you and your brother about the creeks and woods around your place.

I think I have such a place in my hometown but the creek's water is bad and contaminated.

@Tampa_girl7 I know she enjoys it. Ours is not deep but sometimes I take my shoes off and wade. In some places it's knee deep.

Your photo of the creek looks very similar to the view I experience from the creek behind my house. Looks almost the exact same! I love taking walks along the creek, as it is very soothing and serene, and helps me relax. Sometimes I will set up my hammock along the banks and just lay there and take in all the beauty.

You've given me an idea. I would love to string up a hammock down there. I could spend a weekend swinging under the trees. Most places I've lived have had a creek or lake near by. I'd hate to be without it.I used to live by Lake Allatoona.

This morning I'm following Mylot bunny trails.
I enjoy walking, but in the last week or so we have been plagued with nasty little mosquitoes that swarm you the minute you step outside.
Even our stiff breezes don't seem to deter them.

! Wow, this is behind where you live? There are places out here where we can walk to - but we have to drive first to get to a place like this.
