Photobombed by a bee!

I like it when you look at your photos and find you have inadvertently captured something you hadn’t noticed. At the moment I’m carrying the camera around to try and photo some of butterflies, not with the aim of taking great photos, because I’m often zoomed right in to try to snap an insect on top of a swaying branch, but so I can check whether I’ve identified something correctly for the Big Butterfly Count. Today I was looking through some of the photos and I found that this one features a comma butterfly, which I was able to identify from the photo even though it isn’t the sharpest focus, but also captured a bee just coming in to land on the same flower. @Fleura You're not giving yourself credit for that lovely picture. You did just fine with it.

That's the joy of digital photos isn't it? You can keep trying until you catch something, and you don't have to wait a week to develop the photos and see what's there. On the other hand you do end up with literally thousands of unwanted photos and no time to sort through them.

@fleura That’s actually an interesting composition, one that could not have been set up on purpose.

I'd probably have to wait ages for just the right moment!

Yes it did. On the next photo both the bee and the butterfly are feeding on the flower.
