Depressing life in Venezuela

Venezuela
July 24, 2019 8:48pm CST
How difficult for one to not be able to enjoy his youth or experience the achievements that our parents could live at that time, in which Venezuela was not being dominated by a government as corrupt as today and there was a good economy. Young people don't even have the chance to go for ice cream, something so basic, right? as the adolscent of developed countries and in which their economy basically allows them to do what they want. Most of us here only want to be able to be independent as they are supposed to do when they turn 18, most of us here want to have peace of mind and not spend day to day living in anxiety.

Socialism does not work in any part of the world. It is a shame that some political leaders in American are trying to sell us the promises of free items like schooling to get elected.

Do you pay for going to school in the USA? I've never heard about this.

Yes, it is incredible that even with all the history that there is with socialism there are still people wishing to apply it, and worse still citizens accepting it as in the case of Mexico! What a pity

Yeah I have been reading a lot of the news there how your government fail to deliver the services they need because corruption has taken over and the bad thing about this is their tight grip on the military and all of the government makes it more difficult for the ordinary people who has no connection with those in power.

I am sorry you are experiencing this. Corrupt governments are a real problem all over the world. I won't delve into politics much because it is such an explosive topic and I feel everyone is entitled to their opinions. I sincerely hope that things get better there quickly.

It is unbearable to lead a decadent life, even more knowing that you prepared yourself for something better.

Sad for those who have struggled and prepared for something better and sad for those who do not even have the opportunity to prepare for something better, not even the possibility of thinking about what they like because at once it is the stress of thinking that there is have money to eat

Nothing is supposed to be impossible in this life, but one looks at the case of other communist countries as an example (Cuba) and the truth is that one's hopes diminish.

I've noticed that there has been an influx of quite a lot of new members from Venezuela. Do you have an explanation for this?

I could not tell you the reasons why everyone in my country has done it, in my case I like to express my ideals and I feel that this network is not as explosive as there are others in which there are many people who do not know what they speak or in which people only care to see meaningless things instead of real information to educate themselves. In a country that is not free with a socialist government, mostly its citizens are forbidden to express themselves freely, especially on any issue that may harm the government, these types of networks are our escape.

Till the govt. is not aware of their full duty, corruption will continue forever. It will mainly create depression among ordinary people only. The govt. never keep their promise and fulfil their duties.

That's difficult to live to a country where you don't have work to survive

@Erikapalmi Now the point is who is going to provide the people work in order to survive?

It is very ugly, wanting to work and undertake and have nothing. It is not even for being lazy that one lives badly, but because he is obliged to have nothing in a country like this, no matter how hard you try, he only has an emotional fatigue that is difficult to bear.

With my 59 years I feel the nostalgia of having lost everything we had, and that cost us. We dreamed of a better future for our children, but those who believed in the utopia presented by the snake charmer, led us to be the poor country we are today. (poor country, not country poor) You understan what I mean, because your are venezuelan too.

You spend your life dreaming of triumphing, reaching your goals, being happy and living in peace, in Venezuela unfortunately the government cuts your wings, socialism is a plague that is eating you every day more UNTIL LITERALLY "DISAPPEAR".

@Erikapalmi It is a socialism of years, allowed since time immemorial, so to speak, mature wants to implement a new socialism "of the 21st century" and make a catastrophic mistake, citizens do not deserve that.

@Diegojgomez Yes, as you have to say, socialism is a plague and the worst thing that can happen is to fall into the ideal of failure.

It is the worst thing that can happen to a nation, and it is incredible as currently with everything that is lived in Venezuela citizens of other countries allow socialism to govern their country.
