I'm going to be dog sitting this weekend, and I have lots to do before going

When I began writing this I was at planet fitness exercising with my friend. She starts on the treadmill while I use that first and then I move to use various weights. Some equipment I'll have to wait on using for six months or so until my new knee is better. My daughter has a puppy and they weren't able to get her kenneled this weekend so we said we'd spend the weekend there to be with the dog. I didn't get everything done and a lot of what I wanted to do I remembered just before needing to leave for their house. We do live in the same city so that is helpful. I was going to do a bid in the next city over but it was much to late to go anywhere else before I remembered. I might go tomorrow afternoon for a break. Will have to wait and see on that. I may also go visit with my mom since my daughter lives close to where she is. The other thing I wanted to get done is call a bunch of our customers to line up work for next week. I did bring the list of names with me and if I can find their numbers on Google I can do some of that while here. Or maybe I'll make the small trip back home and get my notebook or wait until Sunday to call a few once my daughter returns back home. I plan on being outside as lot with the dog and maybe I'll get some extra mylotting done too. It's too bad their chairs aren't more comfortable. The picture is from planet fitness and two of the dog.

my momma babysits the resident pup 't her house. 'f course she's a fenced backyard'n a wee pup (mutt mix, gremlin lookin' lil gal) 'n they keep each other 'ntertained. i'd ne'er ask 'er to do such here 's she can't get in/out 'f my chairs'n then there'd be the stairs she'd need to maneuver gettin' on/off the back porch.

@MarshaMusselman yup, that pup sounds's though 't needs some trainin'. 'tis dangerous to've one that pulls 'n tries to run off with ya. i've railin' here off the back porch, but my sweet momma 'tis hunchbacked 'n vertically challenged, so stairs 'f any sort 'tis a nightmare ('n possible disaster). maybe ya need a chiro visit to get that back worked out? might e'en help with yer walkin', too.

Those were two of my problems, the chairs and the stairs. If the pup was trained and didn't pull that would help a little on the stairs but at least there was a railing. Their back steps don't have any railing. There's only two steps but I'm still going down with the new door first. At least with those steps I am talk enough to hang onto the too of the door jam going into the garage and the rest was much easier. By today I was having fun getting out of the easier chairs too but that's an ongoing thing. My back is out of whack because I'm not walking correctly as yet. Hopefully that will rectify itself within a month so I can work and walk without needing any canes.

It was only one dog. We took two shots of the same dog. If there were two dogs I wouldn't have done it. I was tired out by yesterday as it was. I don't think I'll agree to doing that again unless my knee heals well and I become more stable in my feet. Otherwise the dog jerks me around too much. She was fine when I put her in the back yard since she would stand quietly while I hooked her collar to the line attached to the stake. They made that part easy as the line is long enough to go into the garage. And when I'm ready to go in she follows me into the garage once I open the door. The back yard only has the bar stool sized wicker chair which I used but it wasn't comfortable. By yesterday when taking her in the front yard in her leash I began perching myself on their porch which at least then allowed me to be steady while the dog explored and when she pulled in the leash it didn't pull me of my perch. I took turns between the front and back yard. There are pros and cons to both for me that is. For my daughter and her husband they can manage either one easily but they're still fairly young.

@MarshaMusselman I see that also my neighbors attach the dog at a line outside so they are sure she does not escape, but she is free to move in the garden. A dog is demanding, I understand you were tired by the end of the day.

I was asked to dog-sit once when my girlfriend and I first started dating. Her and her sister went on a cruise with her parents and grandparents, and so she asked me to watch her two puppies. That was the first and only time she asked me to dog-site. Apparently, I did everything wrong! lol

I don't think they can be choosy when getting a free babysitter. I let their dog sleep with me last night since my husband decided to go back home. He had to work all weekend anyway. Letting the dog sleep with me was the only way I could get her to quit whining. I could have done something different but didn't find out that option until they returned. Other than still being sore after my surgery almost two months ago, I feel I did very well especially since she didn't have any boo boos while I was there. I was willing to take that chance last night but, maybe she wants attention rather than going outside all the time although she does like that too.

We all have our routines at the gym, and you will have one too when your knee is better. Have fun with the puppy. We always doggy sat for our son's two dogs, but now that we have Doodles the cat, he hires someone. Enjoy your weekend.

Had I not had surgery I'd be working this weekend and I don't know what they would have done then. Their puppy is very similar to a dog we had a some years back in the later nineties and until we found her a new home in 2007. We keep calling her , this dog, Maggie the name if our lab mix .

I think its time to take some rest. You should inform them that the chairs are uncomfortable.

Lol. Most chairs are uncomfortable at present even in my own at home. Eventually when my knee bends more easily things will improve.

I don't know if that can be a great time. Well maybe if I were younger and more limber. I managed.

It's always good to get some fur time in. I hope you're able to get those people lined up for next week.
