Thinking of entrepreneurship

I've been pondering on this for years. A friend suggested running my own business thus creating jobs for others. "If you are afraid to start, you will never make it," he added. Then he gave me an example of a friend of his who was successful as an entrepreneur who started from square one.
Did you ever think of leaving your job as an employee and going into entrepreneurship?

It's not all the time easy and you work more hours than when you are employed, but it is for yourself.

My fiance has thought about it for many years, but he hasn't done it yet. He wants to own a dojo.

@yanzalong I think he will have other martial arts there besides kung fu. He's a black belt in karate. I think he is training in Brazilian jiu jitsu now.

There are many things to consider if you will shift from being an employee to being an entrepreneur. Although it may seem to have an advantage being the boss of your own and controlling your time to make money there are also factors such as the capital and the management of it will be the biggest thing you have to consider plus the fact that there is no guarantee that the business will survive if you decide to dive into it.

I have been running my own business since I was 21 and I am 54 now. Some times you do without and other times you have more than enough, you must learn to save and how to budget money for stock, the first year is hard.
