How long does your friendship last.... forever or pathways?

Friends are a powerful tool to share joy with, an equally powerful being who can make you cry, a caring hand, a teasing friend, a person who envies nothing about you and treats you same disregards to the differences in culture language race and religion. Your esteem is always held high and never does he look down upon you even if there be any cultural difference to push you away. I believe a friend is forever and a friend should know you from your every bits no matter the age size color or any physical difference. What actually should matter is the chemistry you do have with the other person and does that person respect you from heart. Whats your view on this how do you establish friendship?

Everyone can write a PhD thesis on friendship if given a chance... And so can I.... Friendship is filled with compassion and love... And by that I mean selfless... Unconditional love...

@Loverabbit We on myLot do not flirt. We tease yes. The elite beauty of this site lies in that. We talk of everything like fart and poop and still retain the class of this site. We play on words.

For true friendship I'll go for lifetime. I don't trust my friends especially in my age, we are just teenagers and most of them are fake. I don't like their attitude about being not true to others. I only have 1 bestfriend that I really count on who I really can trust, no matter what.

I like the clarity in your mind to know what friends are and honesty is essential specially when you are too young to have a vast vision...really nice keep up with that solo friend and I hope you do get rich with friends soon although yes its not the number that counts

@raveeen totally correct. Like I already said numbers don't count but am sure you will be making tons of good friends along the path pal... your thoughts are wise and you value the relationship definitely its 100 times better to be with the good rather than in the herd of donkeys.

@Loverabbit What matters to me is that even if I don't have many friends, it's not important to me. What's the use of having many friends when they're toxic/fake? It's much better for me that I only have 1 friend who I really trust.. at least I know in my heart that she's really true and being herself.

For me, friendship lasts as long as the person is in my sight or in my daily life. Once away from eyes, out of mind. Doesn't apply to those who had never been in my sight to begin with. But I am a harsh person, nonetheless.

I have some friends with whom I've been friends since junior high or high school, and others I've known since my days in the military. Then there are other - what I call transient friends - whom I have known at times when we shared something in common be it school, work, or the like.

@Loverabbit I really love your posts. You do know a lot about what you are posting. You are very deep. I have one friend that we can share anything and neither one of us is jealous of the other. We get along very well. I have acquaintances too that I have a good relationship with.

I have a bad luck as I have no best friend. But my sister is my best friend. She can better understand me than others.

Is that because you choose to refrain from making friends or that you fear their dishonesty eventually? Yeah sisters are the lights and moon true helpers and caring human beings.

Indeed its tough to put trust on new people we meet everyday. True friends are a gem to keep I hope you keep your ties with the childhood buddies and you never cut them loose for benefits and vice versa. Friends for benefits aren't actually ever friends like a good pal here said they are just transient friends who when gone aren't missed

second family hmmm quite amazing though my friends have been little too slobbish and at times very teasing that it gets tough for me to call them second family.
