As I sit here drinking my cup of coffee I think of how weighed down I seem to have been for the past few years. It seems as though I am not having the fun I used to do. So … I have decided to dedicate one day a month to be spontaneous. I want to have fun, I want to go out and do things. I want to be as excited as a child to be exploring some place I have never explored. When I saw this little minion saying I was intrigued. I had to use it and live by it one day a month. It is time to let my inner child come out and play again. She has been hidden too long. What about you. Do you ever take time to step back and let your inner child come out and play?

I have always been a child. It's just my body that got old.

That would do you a world of good. Everyone needs fun in their life. My husband and I do it all the time. It's healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally and brings so many laughs , memories, and joy into our lives. Try it. You'll like it!

True, we do seem to lose our sense of fun and adventure. I love the imagination and wonder that my inner child provides me with.

I'm not sure about this really but I do have plenty of fun and laughter in my life so perhaps my inner child is making herself known.

We all should take some time out and let the inner child come out and play even if it is only for a couple of hours

I really have to agree. You inner child is sitting there all forlorn when you keep her imprisoned.

I certainly waste plenty of time just doing what I feel like. But to actually do something fun, that is a good idea. I think I will go for a bike ride!

@HazySue I did go on that bike ride and stopped for coffee along the way. 35 km, a treat to take that time.

That's a good thing to do. I always let my inner child out to play. I hate the idea of being cooped up inside an adult body all the time. I remember when I was a kid thinking how proper my mother always was as I sat with my legs hanging over the chair. I thought to myself I would always hang my legs over the chair and not become a prim and proper adult. It just didn't suit me. It still doesn't. So, let that inner child out. It's longing to be free.

@HazySue Mine too. You can't write well if your inner child is on house arrest.

You have to set you inner child free every now and then. That's where I find a lot of my imagination and wonder.

My days are all pretty much the same later. I am thrilled to wake up almost pain free and with a little energy. Of course, I try to find a portion of the day to write.
