Rock Painting Thursday

I haven't been home all morning, and when I got home, I left right away to take a rock to my future daughter-in-law whose birthday is today.
I worked on three rocks, but one will be fixed next week and one completed. The three rocks in the picture, only the middle one was done today for my future daughter-in-law. She really liked it.
So after the Y, I made my way to the ADRC for rock painting and had a lot of fun. Though, I've now been branded a rock thief. There were three plain painted rocks on the table. I thought I had painted them the last time I was there two weeks ago. I hadn't, and when the person came in and saw me painting on her rock, it became a laughable good time with my friend who heads rock painting threatening to put us in separate corners and saying a thousand Hail Mary's. I'm not Catholic so I don't know how that goes and told her so. She recited it for me.
It's always a good time at rock painting. I got a lot of compliments on the dragonfly and butterfly. The gal in the office loved them too.

When we went camping last month, Little Miss found a rock that she treasures. It said "You are Amazing!" She has it in her room on display.
Made me want to do a little rock painting myself. May still do so once I find the right shaped rocks for it.

August so far so good. :) We are on day 2 , time is passing by fast! The rocks you made are beautifully & I'm sure your daughter in law loved it! Happy Birthday to her!!

I think you do deserve compliments on the butterfly and dragonfly rocks. They are both beautiful!
I have been out most of the day getting the most expensive manicure and pedicure of my life! At least I had gift cards to use up, but paid an extra $52+ tip. Never returning there again.

Was the service not worth the amount? Or was the price too extravagant for what they offered? It's good you won't be going back.
Thank you. The artist in me is coming out at last. I could never draw anything before to look like they're supposed to.

I really like your painted rocks, especially the dragonfly! I love to sketch, but I've never tried my luck at rock painting, it looks like fun:)

@just4him I drew a mural on the wall, in a Sunday School room. Pastor was real happy, but I never painted it.

glad yer future daughter'n law loved her rock, hon. all 3 're really nice. 'f course, ya should know i'd be really drawn to the dragonfly :)
yup, yer gonna need to keep yer fingers to yerself 'fore ya go rock pilferin', lol. glad y'all'd a good laugh o'er such 'n ya learnt a lil 'bout 'nother religion to boot.

I think all three rocks look terrific! Nice job :) I wish I was better at rock painting myself. My son found 3 or 4 rocks today at the park, hidden around the slides.
