I did not go!

I did not go to school to attend that seminar, last Monday. Although I thought and decided on going last Sunday night, something happened on the later hours of Sunday night: my sister suddenly complained of abdominal fullness, unable to pass out flatus, and cannot belch out air. I gave her medicines to no avail. I advised her to take sips of warm water.
I thought if she gets better in the morning of Monday, I can go to school. She did not, so I messaged our program coordinator that I cannot go. I also made a statement that if my not attending will put me to the backseat of having work load, I will accept that. “Anyway, I am about to retire this year,''was what I also remarked.
The very first statement of response I glanced on my phone was:” I am so disappointed…” ;what I did was, I did not read the whole response, and I accompanied my sister for a traditional treatment (massage).
Lunch time, my sister told me to open my messenger. Then I read her (PC) whole response. She said,” I am so disappointed because some of the CI’s did not send me notice if they come or not. Thanks, Ma’am Ingrid for your message. Ma’am AUA and Ma’am G who I expect to attend, did not even send me their reasons why they cannot attend”.
Then she messaged me, “Ma’am, you have 4 duty days for next semester”. I thanked her for that.
Other messages were, she knows I might not attend because of my heart condition, and she did not want me to be tired/exhausted going to the research conference room.
I believe proper communication is good in order for us to have better understanding with each other.

@ridingbet She should rest and listen to the doctors or her wrist will never get better. She surely wants sympathy, but she should take care of herself.

my sister is always sick. this morning, we had another disagreement. she was injected steroid for the tenosynovitis in her right wrist. she was advised to rest her hand for 2-3 months, but right now, she is in the garden sweeping. i told her she should rest but she said, "you have a severe health condition and i do not want to be lazy". i responded, "yes i have, but i rest my heart by not working".
oh well, she want sympathy from me. i do not know really how i should get along with her.

i so agree with you. miss AUA was in a tourist destination here in our province with her boyfriend. she did not respond because she did not want to ruin their ''love affair''. (she is married but separated now).
Miss G is also a bubble- she appears, then disappears.
