Where did the rains go?

Today is Tuesday. It's the second day of class suspension here in our province. Our governor has dutifully announced the cancellation of classes the night before, whilst the rains were pouring in a steady manner. Apparently the southwest monsoon rains will again pour heavily in our region today. However, just like what happened Monday, when it's supposed to be my daughters' first day of school, and heavy rains were expected, the day remains relatively dry and cool. Yesterday, (Monday) the sun was out most of the time, and the moderate rains didn't come until after supper! The kids could've just spent the day in school. My daughters are disappointed again. They've been so excited to go back to school and see their friends. They have prepared their books and supplies and have set their morning alarms. Not another class suspension, for sure!? Not after a long summer break? We woke up to a quiet morning. No sound of rain on the roof. No rain at all. Meh. I guess my girls will have to keep themselves busy with other things while we wait for school to commence. And for the rains to come. * Image by lillaby from Pixabay

Unpredictable weather conditions resulting in inaccurate weather forecast. They are just doing preparedness by suspending classes. Anyway it's a gloomy day and most conducive to stay home.

We never got our first day cancelled, but I remember a time when we had about one week of school and then were closed two days for a typhoon. It messes with teachers' lesson plans too, especially if you're like me and you only see kids two days a week (music).

If the classes are suspended it means they are expecting heavy rains, its good there was no heavy rains. Anyway, where is your place? Our weather here is good.

We actually wanted the heavy rains to justify the class suspension.
