Does Donald Trump know anything?

We in the United Kingdom have got used to Americans thinking that the name of our country is England, but it now appears that President Trump has gone one further and thinks that Russia used to be called The Soviet Union!
In a recent speech he declared that the leaders of the Soviet Union decided one fine day to call their country Russia, as though they were one and the same.
Did he never go to school? Did nobody tell him that the Soviet Union was a union of many formerly independent countries that fell apart in 1989, and that Russia was just one of those countries, albeit by far the largest of these?
The worrying thing is that he is probably not alone - I wouldn't mind betting that there are lots of Americans who are just as ignorant.

1) Trump's an idiot.

3) He's gotten a lot of good things done, something you can't say about Barack Obama.

Do you want the simple answer to that question?
More seriously though, I'm sure many people think that too. After all, in days gone by it was common to refer to the USSR as 'Russia' and I don't think all that many people had actually heard of places like Uzbekistan until after the demise of the USSR when suddenly all these countries appeared on maps!

He was rich when he was a kid so probably he had his ways to get all those degrees with all that money. But the brains come with hard work not money, so all we see is an idiot not a guy who would make sense.

Yes, he says some really dumb things. Almost as dumb as Barack Obama saying tht he had visited 57 states while campaigning and had one more to go. Almost as bad as "If you want your doctor, you can keep your doctor." Yet somehow we survive.
