Would you rather be uninformed or misinformed?

Mark Twain once said (or wrote) that if you don`t read a newspaper you`re uniformed, but if you do read one you`re misinformed. I suppose that these days one can substitute social media for the newspaper, given that the latter seem to going out of fashion, but the principle might still apply. So which is better - being told the wrong things or not being told anything in the first place? Is ignorance bliss after all?

Just to make sure that a bomb does not come down on my head I'd rather be informed but then check out the truth of things myself.

That is not always easy, unless you have independent sources of information.

@indexer I suspect that as far as Brexit is concerned I’d rather be uninformed.

It's difficult not to be misinformed on this one!

Neither is desirable! I want to be informed as that helps me make proper decisions in life.

Better not to know than to have fake or manipulated news.

I rather not know at all if I'm told the wrong things. Our newspaper is still around, but I don't get it. My uncle does though. I do read the headlines on Bing.com.

Ignorance is a bliss. I never checked the social media for the news. I'm very traditional so I prefer the newspaper on weekends. On weekdays, I have the radio while driving or I open the newspapers company website to check out the news.

Either one can be dangerous, I’d rather be well enough informed to come to my own conclusions!

I'd rather be uninformed than misinformed and fall as ignorant.
