I don't think my doctor really knows what is going on

United States
August 13, 2019 4:51pm CST
I had to increase my medication for a Uric Acid Stone, I have to go back to the lab Thursday or Friday, and repeat my urine test.. They just called to tell me that the Urologist would like me to get an Xray now, in addition to the CT scan I just recently completed. He wants to make sure that this is a Uric Acid Stone, so it may not be and I am taking all this medicine for this specific stone. I am more than frustrated and don't feel they really have a clue as to what is going on with me.

I have been lucky to not have gout, I have had many kidney stones, but no gout. I know the acid can cause gout, but hoping not.

Sounds like they are trying to rule out everything with the tests. At least they seem to be trying. I am sure you are frustrated.
