I remember when Sunday's meant looking at the circulars

I remember when Sunday's were reading the funny papers and then clipping coupons and looking at the grocery store circulars. You can still do that today, but most people go to their grocery stores website and look at the store circulars there before digitally clipping coupons. Today I'm doing just that. I might also check out savingstar.com but the past couple of coupons I've used haven't worked. One was my own error, the second I'm not so sure about. It will be an afternoon shopping trip for me, but then that gives me time to look at the circular for another store as well. What's on your agenda today?

I do remember my mom doing that, I tried before to collect the coupons and then went to the store and realized the coupons were still on the kitchen table.

I tried my hand at couponing for awhile, but it just wasn't worth it for me. I do the digital coupons now. I might look to see if I can find some chapstick coupons towards winter, but that's about the extent of physical coupons for me. I was always forgetting coupons too. You've seen people in the store with those big binders of coupons? I do not have that level of organization, not to mention I'm not willing to buy a brand just because of a coupon.

@Bensen32 I'm guessing it's a nation wide thing, the digital coupons. If you got to your local grocers website, they should have a section where they have digital coupons. As for how it works, you just load them onto your loyalty card by signing up / in on the grocery stores website. Actually, one of the stores here has the digital coupons separate and so you have to sign up again and give them your loyalty card number. Really weird and it was slightly inconvenient, but I digress... I find it pretty beneficial. Like, there is a sale on cereal bars right now and I also found two coupons in the digital coupons portion of the website.I tend to write that down and whether or not I get the item, I atleast have it written down so I know how much I can save. I used to be a cashier for a grocery store, we had a lot of mom's coming in with big binders full of coupons. One always came in late at night when she knew we'd start to stock (I was also a stock clerk and so I was pretty good at knowing whether we had something in the back for her or not).... Anyway, she was a pretty awesome customer because she'd always end up getting her stuff for free. The cash register would actually go negative so she always bought me a candy bar to put the till at positive again.

@ScribbledAdNauseum LOL, yea, I'm not carrying a big binder around and doing all that work to save a couple dollars. I never looked into digital coupons and not sure how that works.

It's 11 am. I'm going to finish off the few notifications I have and start getting ready to go to the grocery stores. I also haven't eaten yet this morning so I need to get that sorted.

It's good to do that every once in awhile.

I can remember good coupons that were doubled and didn't require buying 10 of to get the discount.

I don't do much couponing, if it's not linked to my card, chances are I'm not doing it. However, I do know that coupon policies have changed drastically, too many people trying to one up the system.

Sunday and I think Wednesday is when the coupons came in the papers around here. I haven't gotten a paper in a long time, but I do know that Sundays have the bulkiest coupons. I had subscribed to the newspaper for awhile just to get the coupons but I've stopped doing that and went digital.
