No, not the Paul Newman movie. I had an appointment today with my primary care doctor. The bad news is that the pain in my bicep and upper arm appears to be rotator cuff. I'm going to have physical therapy for it. So, as I feared, my putting season is over. However, it wasn't all bad at the doctor today. I’ve lost about ten pounds. All of my tests were normal, and my bloodwork looked good (save for the IgM, which has been low for years). So something about me is "normal." As I have to put ice on my shoulder to help with inflammation, this seems appropriate:

Sorry about your upper arm problem. I had the same two years ago, physical therapy fixed the problem.

...and you know we get a little older every day... When the doctor told me I have arthritis in my lower back, I said, "That's just fancy for getting older, isn't it?" He just smiled. Funny...now I'm singing, I think this time, you've said enough to make me want to leave this place... I wonder if that's the next song on the album.
