His Love Is Great and He's to Be Served

The true attribute of God is love.
The birth of Jesus is the great manifestation of the unconditional love of the Heavenly Father to redeem mankind from their sins and be brought back to His fold.
Thus, to fulfill it, Jesus died on the cross to pay price of sin which is death and was resurrected or raised from the dead for the man to live again when they're obedient to the commandments for their salvation.
Thus, if everyone is entitled for it if he takes upon himself the name of Jesus Christ, always remembers Him, keeps His commandments, and endures to the end. Hope this is of great help as far as love of God is concerned.
Jesus' Mission
It's good for us that we know by heart the very purpose of Jesus' mission here on earth.
Those people in His time knew pretty well that He's the Son of God. He's the Messiah prophesied by the ancient prophets but yet He's despised, insulted and tried and found guilty of blasphemy.
The people whom Jesus wanted to save were the same people who shouted to crucify Him. And they're successful.
"Father, forgive them for they don't know what they're doing" said Jesus to His Father. At present time, since we know who Jesus really is, what's our role?
Two Greatest Commandments
Out of so many commandments that God made known to His prophets of old, Jesus Christ in His time or in His ministry here on earth summarized them into two greatest commandments. Now these commandments are quite simple and easy to follow.
1. Love God.
How do the people show their love to Him? That's where that they are to put in practice on the manner of worshipping Him. That's where how they obey God. God has said if you love me, follow my commandments.
2. Love your neighbor.
Who is our neighbor? It's shown in the parable of a good Samaritan. If we do care for ourselves, likewise we care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. This calls for loving our enemies.
The scripture says let's overcome evil by doing good.
Thanks brothers an sisters for giving me this opportunity to reflect this truth about serving God and serving our neighbor. And His attribute and Jesus' Mission.
Good bless.

The people Jesus ministered to, didn't recognize Him as the Son of God. They looked for a Messiah who would take them out from under Roman rule. It was only a few who recognized Him as their Messiah and those few spread His Word to the nations.

Those people they didn't believe Him in spite of His words, His wisdom, and His works or miracles did. They didn't have faith. They're sign seekers.

Yes, we should. And in return, they're kind to us too. This reminds of me of the following sayings: if you want to be loved, share love. If you want to have friends, be friendly.

It's funny the use of words sometimes.
I would say that love is more than just an attribute of God's, but I think I know what you mean too. Love is the truth of God. It is who he is.
Is love just an attribute of God's, or is it far more than that, love is God's very make-up?
Love is totally alone as God, not an extra attribute of his, that's why it is said, God is love, love is God.
Love is the same energy of creation that God uses to word himself through creation.
God's word is himself too, as this writing of Saint John's confirms.
John chapter 1, verse 1 to 3: King James Version
"In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Love cannot be described any more than God can be described, but we can know God from his love, and when we love him, hence those two commandments, that you quoted of Jesus's. It really does all start and end with love.

@innertalks No problem. Some other time we'll have more discussions on spirituality. As of now, I am too busy to do some Church job. Right now I going to the Church. Bye for now. See you later.
