A Quick Trip to the ER this Afternoon

Certainly, That Hurts!
I’m about to take my seat in front of my computer but my chin accidentally banged at the extension of my computer table where the printer is placed. Then there’s blood. When I looked that part in the mirror, the area covering the lower lip has laceration about half an inch plus there were bruises at the back portion of my lip and as well as the gums in the affected area. It was quick and I can’t imagine how it was happening. It’s painful and I felt that my lip was tightening. I also feel the palpitation of the injured part plus I can feel that my blood pressure is up. I dressed the wound and bandaged it but it continues bleeding so I went to the ER of the nearby hospital to have it cleaned. I was prescribed with medicines for pain and infection and of course paid the charges of more than 12 dollars for the services.

It's not really a good day for me. This morning, I also have an unpleasant eye condition while attending the orientation conducted by HDMF office. It's difficult to figure the accident although it's not major, it happens and certainly hurts and thinking that slashed on the hard earned money.

@ZedSmart Its better to have it checked by doctor when you are having those kinds of wounds. Sometimes it gets worse when you neglect having it checked by doctors. How’s your BP did it act up on you. Sometimes they act up when you’re in trauma.

@rsa101 You are right. I was worried a bit because the gums bruised too. I thought of, it can cause more harm so I make sure to have it check. I'm certain that my BP was up because of that pain in the nape and yes after few minutes of sitting in the ER before my turn, the reading was 140/90 mmHg which I believe lower already before my arrival.
